Michael Reuter, Vice President Sales & Markets EMEA, puts it like this: "With Pulse, we are entering into an era which satisfies the modern spirit of the times and the high expectations of grill fans." And they even want to create a new segment for it: Weber calls it "Smart Grill".
The griller can keep his eye on the temperature via the removable LED digital display on the grill front. The preheat display shows him when the grates have reached the required temperature. The Pulse compensates for external influences by automatically adjusting its temperature to hot or cold weather conditions. For the first time, Weber has directly integrated the iGrill digital thermometer. This means that the core temperature of the food and the temperature inside the grill can both be monitored on a smartphone at the same time.
The iGrill app is to provide even more information, instructions and recipes in future. It will also have a separate section for the Pulse. And of course, social media can't be left out: anyone who wants, can directly post their grill results to social networks using the app.
With its somewhat martial-like design - the Pulse is only available in black - the device sets itself apart from the competition, even in terms of looks alone. Fittingly, at the exhibition stand in Hall 1, a short, acoustically upbeat and impulsively designed presentation ran every hour.
But there were also more tranquil areas at the stand. After all, Weber also introduced its festive campaigns for Christmas in Cologne. "With special limited grill models and elegant accessories we'll put everyone in the mood for winter grilling, strengthen sales and increase potential turnover," explains Michael Reuter.
Therefore, two top…
