"DIY Evolution. Designing the future together" is the motto under which the 7th Global DIY Summit stands. The summit, at which the global home improvement industry meets, will take place from 5 to 7 June 2019 in the Irish capital of Dublin.
The conference programme will be based on four main topics. "Innovate or die - why innovation matters" is the first one. Barbara Kahn, professor at the University of Pennsylvania, will open this session and speak about "The Shopping Revolution: How successful retailers win customers in an era of endless disruption". There will also be a panel discussion once again hosted by Steve Collinge (Insight DIY, Great Britain) who will talk with Sergio Giroldi (Obi), Erwin Van Osta (Hubo, Brico Alliance) and Hartmut Jenner (Kärcher).
"Digitalization - adapting to the era of disruption" is the title of the second session. Speakers are from Germany (Sanjay Sauldie), Belgium (Nancy Rademaker) and France (Stéphane Mallard).
The third session under the motto "HR - preparing your team to embrace digital transformation" will be opened by Vanessa Hartley, large client sales director Google Europe, speaking about "Preparing your team to embrace digital transformation". The second speaker of this section will be Greg Hicks who will present methods of "Creating the innovative workplace culture".
The summit's second day will start with a session about "Asia - the changing face of innovation". This session will see presentations from Stephan J. Wirtz, professor in Lyon and Budapest, living in Switzerland and China, as well as from Adam Sandzer from Hot Pot Digital, UK. Pascal Coppens from Belgium, who calls himself "China Evangelist", concludes the session with the theme "China's new normal".
The farewell session will be delivered by six speakers: Neil Munz-Jones from the UK, author at DIY International ("UK and European market update"), Pascal Jacobs from Belgium ("Omni-channel logistics"), Igor Kolynin from Petrovich, Russia ("Digital room: new channel of trade"), Dionis Tegja, President Megatek, Albania, Osamu Watanabe ("When consumers really want to rely, they choose one's reliable store, not the Internet"), and Ibrahim Ibrahim ("The future of retail and the new metrics of winning").
