In 2025, Lichtwoche Sauerland will be celebrating its 20th anniversary. For the organizers, this is a good opportunity to provide new impetus for a more pleasant stay. “This year, we will offer better opportunities to make a visit to the Sauerland region as efficient as possible, so that, for example, no time is lost on long journeys,” promises Dennis Köhler, who has once again taken on the planning and management of the trade fair. ‘Due to the principle that the individual exhibitions are located at different places, we will rely on artificial intelligence and thus enable a completely new type of route guidance,’ he explains. Customers can use a new app for this.
In 2025, there will also be familiar faces from the area of suppliers to DIY stores and garden centers. For example, Briloner, Eglo, FH Lighting, Globo, Megalight, IDV, Ledvance and Müller Licht will be presenting their proven ranges and innovations. “A large proportion of the exhibitors supply DIY and garden stores with lighting. So it's also worth visiting for this target group, because the Lichtwoche Sauerland showcases a wide range of trends and innovations and promotes a constant exchange between the B2B supply and demand sides. This is more important than ever, especially in the difficult economic environment,” emphasizes Köhler.
Next year's Lichtwoche will take place from February 16 to 21. “The trade needs ideas and inspiration to stimulate people's desire to buy,” says Philipp Müller, a spokesman for Lichtwoche Sauerland and managing director of Trio Lighting Group in Arnsberg. “And we convey these to our customers to enable beautiful homes and efficient domestic lighting,” summarizes co-spokesman Michael Kossmann, who runs the business of the lighting manufacturer Bankamp. ‘The overall economic situation has been tense for years and is constantly being confronted with new challenges,’ says this entrepreneur. ‘The order of the day is neither to let up nor to rest,’ he is convinced.
The 41 exhibitions at the Lichtwoche Sauerland also want to show this. “The innovative strength and joy of ideas in the industry,” Müller notes, “is and remains unbroken. And everyone will have to continue to strive to pave the way for efficient trade relations and smooth trade routes.” To this end, direct exchange between manufacturers, dealers, importers and resellers remains highly important.
