Lowe’s, the second largest DIY retailer in the world, had a turnover of US $ 6.47 bn in the first quarter of the current financial year

Lowe’s reports sales to the tune of US $ 6.47 bn (€ 10.26 bn) for the first quarter of 2002 (to 3 May). That is an increase of 22.6 per cent overall and 7.5 per cent in like-for-like terms on the same period last year. Following 46 new openings – four of which were store relocations – and one closure in the first three months of the financial year, the company had 785 outlets with a combined retail area of 7.99 mio m² on the reporting date.
