In France the discount marketing concept is growing in significance in the DIY sector

UNIBAL, the French association, is observing an increase in the significance of depot-style marketing formats in the DIY retail trade. In a market survey the association notes a current total of 47 outlets for Brico Dépôt, eleven under the name of Batkor, four for Bricoman and two Entrepôt du Bricolage stores. According to a market survey, even though the Castorama l’Entrepôt line is at present being scaled down, that is not necessarily true of the concept itself – possibly in modified form.
