Increase in house-building division

In the first six months of 2002 Saint-Gobain, the Courbevoie-based French building materials group, recorded sales of € 7.565 bn in its house-building division, which is 3.5 per cent more than the previous year’s figure. This amounts to an increase of 1.4 per cent on a like-for-like basis. The sales volume in the building materials trade comes to € 5.371 bn, or an increase of 1.4 per cent like-for-like.
