15.10.2002

For several years now Inda has been offering the “Aquasanit by Inda” programme of bathroom furniture through DIY retail outlets. Successfully, too, for sales have doubled over the last three years

The Italian manufacturer began to produce bathroom accessories and mirrors in 1944. Numbering among its first big customers were engineering firms building luxury liners, who appreciated the high quality of the brass accessories.
The DIY selection includes 15 ranges of accessories.
In the course of the years the company, which has its headquarters at Caravate, has reinforced its market position until it today finds itself the biggest Italian company in the bathroom furnishings market with a comprehensive range of accessories, shower enclosures and furniture. The programme of around 10 000 products is distributed in more than 50 countries. Turnover increased to 100 mio euro in the year 2001.
Over the past three years the company has become especially deeply involved in the DIY segment. The specially developed “Aquasanit by Inda” brand includes 15 lines of accessories, six shower enclosures and five furnishing programmes. Inda attributes the rapid success of its DIY programme to the high standard of quality maintained – all companies have UNI EN ISO 9001 certification – plus the development of an international design base and a distribution network throughout Europe. Included among the retail groups listing its products are Leroy Merlin, Castorama, Hornbach, Baumax and Praxis.
The Allison series of bathroom furnishings is new to the Aquasanit programme.
A new addition to the Aquasanit programme is the Allison series of bathroom furnishings. The body and fronts are made of melamine coated, 16 mm E1 chipboard. The top surfaces and handles are finished in aluminium, and the doors are done in light cherry. The programme includes open mirror cabinets with fluorescent lighting, or alternatively with mirror-faced doors and halogen lighting, optionally with switch and socket. Added to these are two base cabinets, one with a cast stone top, plus six high cabinets in two sizes, with doors of light cherry and with patterned safety glass. The drawers are fitted with quality sliding mechanisms. All articles apart from the mirror cabinets are supplied individually boxed for self-assembly.
