Acquisition and opening

Last Friday, 25 October 2002, saw the completion of the acquisition of Woodlands Nurseries in Leicestershire by Wyevale, the UK’s largest specialist garden centre chain, for a cash consideration of £ 9.65 mio (€ 15.29 mio) plus stock at valuation. In addition, Wyevale opened its new garden centre at Crowland on the Saturday. At more than 6 000 m² each, these are the biggest of the company’s current 124 locations.
