Klaus Buchleitner is promoted to chairman of the board following the resignation of Karl Nigl

The chairman of RWA (Raiffeisen Ware Austria) has stepped down in a surprise move. Karl Nigl has at his own request given up all his functions and “will in future devote himself to private business interests”, in the words of a press report. The supervisory board has nominated Klaus Buchleitner, 38, as the new chairman. He has been a member of the board for six years. There he had responsibility for the Lagerhaus franchising system for building materials and DIY stores, for finance, auditing, agricultural machinery business and a number of partnerships. Apart from him, Dr Karl Braunhofer also retains his seat on the board.
