New chairman for Obi

Deutsche Heimwerkermarkt Holding (DHH), which is the parent company of German market leader Obi, has a new chief executive officer and chairman of the board. Harald Lux, 55, who has so far held these positions, is moving at his own request across to the subsidiary company Lux Werkzeug, and is no longer a member of the DHH board. His position is being taken over by Sergio Giroldi, 47, who is currently the member of Obi’s board with responsibility for all foreign business in Europe. He has worked for the Tengelmann and Obi group of companies since 1997. These changes were decided by the DHH supervisory board yesterday. No other board positions will be affected.
