The volume of retail trade is down by 1.6 per cent in the euro-zone

In March 2003, compared to March 2002, the volume of retail trade decreased by 1.6 per cent in the euro-zone and by 0.7 per cent in the 15 member states of the entire European Union, Eurostat, the Statistical Office of the European Communities in Luxembourg, estimates today. Compared to February 2003, sales fell by 1.2 per cent in the euro-zone and by 1.0 per cent in the EU15.
