The South African materials supplier and DIY store group Cashbuild made sales of ZAR 10 090 mio (around EUR 506 mio) in the last financial year 2019/2020 (ending 28 June 2020). That is a drop of 7 per cent in comparison to the previous year. The company puts the decline down to the effects of the coronavirus pandemic; according to its (not audited) calculations, sales would have increased by 1 per cent without these effects.

Almost ZAR 579 mio (EUR 29 mio) are attributed to the stores in the countries of the monetary union which include Namibia, Swaziland and Lesotho. The locations in Botswana, Malawi and Zambia made sales of ZAR 468 mio (almost EUR 23 mio). The group currently operates a total of 318 stores.
