A German Englishman in Chicago

At the next meeting of the Worldwide DIY Council in Chicago John W. Herbert, executive director of BHB, the federation of German DIY retailers, will be speaking to the delegates. The meeting is to be held in Chicago on 9 August, one day prior to the beginning of the National Hardware Show. For many years before taking up his present position Mr Herbert, who comes from the United Kingdom, was executive director of the German DIY group Knauber, then president of the West Coast division of Home Depot’s Expo Design Centers.
