Expansion into Portugal in sight

The French franchise group Jardiland is thinking of expanding into Portugal. A subsidiary already exists in the country, though the opening of the first store is not planned until 2004 or 2005. The number one French garden centre group has gone through a far-reaching process of reorganisation: the two biggest franchisees have brought their 31 stores into the central structure, which now operates 45 garden centres directly, 39 of them in France.
