Home Depot has announced the opening of a first store in Manhattan for next summer. The outlet will be the fourth store designed in accordance with the group’s urban neighbourhood concept. The retail area will come to over 10 000 m² on two levels plus a mezzanine floor. Tom Taylor, president of the Eastern Division, says that a special feature of the new store will be the unusually large kitchen and bathroom display area. Currently Home Depot operates 75 home improvement stores in New York City overall.
