Home Depot is acquiring its former contractor, Atlanta-based RMA Home Services. The company currently has 985 employees and has been carrying out the home installation of replacement windows and siding for the home improvement group since 1998. According to Home Depot, the company is the nation’s third-biggest installer in this market, which is estimated to have a volume of US $ 7.9 bn (€ 6.9 bn). RMA will become a part of Home Depot’s At-Home Services group, the business group that is growing by about 40 per cent annually and offers home installation services for more than a dozen product categories. Frank Blake, executive vice president – business development and corporate operations, calls the expansion in this service area “a key growth strategy for our company.”
