The British DIY chain Wickes generated around GBP 799.9 million (EUR 948.1 million) in the first half of 2024. According to the half-year report, this is 3.4 per cent less than in the same period last year. The company has thus revised its preliminary report slightly upwards, in which the decline was stated as 3.9 per cent.

However, the decline comes exclusively and to a large extent from the Design & Installation segment. Although this only accounts for GBP 166.7 million (EUR 197.6 million), this represents a drop of 17.0 per cent. The Retail segment, on the other hand, is slightly up and has grown by 1.0 per cent compared to the first half of 2023. Wickes summarises its kitchen and bathroom range under Design & Installation.
