Nine stores hive off from the Weldom format of the French cooperative, Domaxel

Nine Weldom outlets in France have changed over to Mr. Bricolage. They take with them a retail area of 13 500 m² and potential annual sales to the tune of € 18.5 mio in 2004. Starting in March 2004 they will appear under the name of Mr. Bricolage. The Weldom chain is part of the Domaxel voluntary group. Seven of the stores, currently members of Weldom, are changing over because they have decided in favour of the competition. One store was taken over by a member of Mr. Bricolage, and another by a new proprietor, who opted for membership of this cooperative group. So far eight Weldom stores have moved over to the number three in the French DIY market since 2001.
