The organisers of the DIY & Garden Show are apparently aiming to fill the gap left by the future two-year frequency of Practical World in Cologne. They expect to see an increase in exhibitor numbers at the next event in London from 16 to 18 January 2005. “Suppliers need a platform at the beginning of the year,” says show director Christopher Leonard-Morgan, as he appraises the outlook for the event. He refers to the commitment made by many of this year’s exhibitors that they will take part again in 2005. What is more, some companies that were not present this year have confirmed that they will be coming back next time. The fair organisers want to provide more incentives for visitors to the fair, which will include the creation of new sections. The plans for a separate display area for “Innovations” is one example of these initiatives.
