In the first three months of this year the French group Saint-Gobain recorded the strongest growth in its building materials distribution division. Sales rose by 14.5 per cent to € 2.846 bn in comparison with the same period last year. The like-for-like plus amounts to 6.8 per cent, and 7.5 per cent after currency adjustment. The company emphasises that increases have been achieved in all its sales formats, expressly including Germany in this statement. Here the group has been active since the beginning of 2000 through its subsidiary Raab Karcher.
