Mr. Bricolage achieves like-for-like growth of 0.9 per cent

The 426 stores belonging to the main retail format of the French DIY group Mr. Bricolage saw their sales increase in the first quarter by 3.3 per cent, or 0.9 per cent in like-for-like terms. The volume of € 345.1 mio also includes the sales revenue from the 75 centrally-run corporate stores. Without these outlets the increase would have amounted to 1.7 per cent in same-store terms, according to information from the group. Furthermore, the rainy month of March made itself felt through the negative effect it had on the garden ranges.
In the first three months the 151 Catena stores in operation at the end of the quarter recorded sales of € 30.6 mio, or 0.3 per cent more than the same period a year ago. Same-store growth amounted to 3.2 per cent.
