First complete implementation

On Thursday 24 June Baumax opened its first store in which the new store concept has been fully implemented in Vienna. The Austrian market leader has organized its range into four “worlds”, with a different colour assigned to each. The new hardware concept with special cutting to size and other services is also offered for the first time in the new approx. 10,000 m2 store, while the garden centre alone has a retail area of 4,700 m2. The old site nearby was closed to make way for the new store.
The new store concept was applied for the first time in the spring of 2003 in Tulln and is being realized consistently in all new openings. A decision will be taken ultimately regarding multiplication in the existing stores also.
