Three further tile factories sold

German sanitary ware supplier Villeroy & Boch of Mettlach is selling three further tile works. The locations in Italy, Hungary and Romania are being taken over by the Austrian Lasselsberger Group. The sale in Hungary and Romania has to be approved by the Cartel Office, according to the company. The works in Merzig, Germany and La Ferté Gaucher in France are to be strengthened by reorganization of the tile operations. In spite of a decline in tile sales, Villeroy & Boch increased group sales in the first five months of this year by 4.6 per cent.
