The Swiss co-operative group Migros wants to sell its DIY store sales line Do it + Garden. The company had already announced a review of the business concept in February and has now revealed the decision by the board of directors of Migros Fachmarkt AG to start the sale process. The ten Obi stores that Migros operates as a franchisee in Switzerland are to remain.

Migros had already reported in April that the co-operative group's speciality stores in particular were suffering from declining sales. Individual Do it + Garden locations have already been closed.

A relaunch of the stationary format was only initiated in the winter. At the end of January, a Do it + Garden store in the Zugerland shopping centre reopened after renovation, operating under a revised concept. It was relaunched with a new retail space layout and a curated product range under the claim "The first speciality store for homemade joie de vivre".
