End for Do it + Garden in Switzerland

The Swiss home improvement chain Do it + Garden will not continue. The retail group Migros has found no buyer. The cooperative explains the step by saying that talks had been held with numerous interested parties, but none had seen the potential to successfully continue the business nationwide. As already announced, two larger Do it + Garden branches will be transferred to the German Obi Group; Obi will also take over the ten Swiss Obi stores that have been operated by Migros as a franchisee to date. Negotiations are continuing with potential interested parties from the DIY sector for individual Do it + Garden locations, it was reported. The remaining 31 locations will be closed by the end of June 2025 at the latest.
