Door-opener to the Asian region

The biggest Practical World Asia came to the end of its three-day run at the Shanghai New International Expo Center on 13 October with more exhibitors on more show space. Seen in combination with the China International Hardware Show (CIHS), this is the sector's most significant event within Asia for "Tools", "Security, Locks and Fittings", "Home Improvement/DIY" and the new "Gardening" segment within Asia. A total of 1 500 companies occupying a space of 58 000 m² made use of the two fairs – which were attended by 33 000 visitors overall from 69 countries – as a presentational and business platform for their goods and services. Within the Practical World Asia section there were 120 firms exhibiting from 15 countries, and an international quota in excess of 90 per cent.
