Malaysian home improvement giant Mr. DIY is moving to boost its already burgeoning Southeast Asian operations by going on a regional hiring spree. The company, which is already in eight of the ten Southeast Asian markets - namely, its home turf, Malaysia; Thailand; Indonesia; the Philippines; Vietnam; Singapore; Brunei; and Cambodia - as well as in India, Bangladesh, Turkey and Spain, is looking for a business expansion person to further the reach of its Southeast Asian business.
"The role involves managing and implementing business expansion strategies in the Southeast Asia region. The responsibilities include conducting market analysis, developing business plans, coordinating with various stakeholders, approval of new sites and ensuring smooth operations of new stores," the company said in a vacancy notice.
