DIY stores in Europe: key figures

The greatest number of DIY stores in excess of 400 m² in size is recorded in Germany (a total of 4 183), followed by France (3 054), then Great Britain and Northern Ireland ( 1 889). The highest density of DIY stores can be found in Norway with 6 132 inhabitants per DIY store, and the lowest density in Turkey, where there are approx. 2.3 mio inhabitants to one DIY store.
