Cavatorta, the Italian manufacturer of wire mesh fencing, initiated production in 1961. Today the company, which has six production plants in Italy and one in France, lays claim to market leadership in Italy

The group, which has its headquarters in Parma, specialises in the manufacture of spot-welded netting available in a galvanised, high-build galvanised or PVC-coated finish. The choice of fencing types is wide. The range includes more than 70 different models for use in gardens, for the areas of sport, hobbies or home enhancement, and for industrial or agricultural applications. Also in the range are the accessories required for installation. In addition to the broad product programme, specially developed finishing processes are the company’s guarantee of a high standard of quality and protection against corrosion.
The Galvafort Process developed by Cavatorta is designed to ensure a clean, even coating. The high level of zinc adhesion is intended to allow the fencing to bend up to 180 degrees without any damage to the coating. During the Galvaplax Process a plastic coating is applied to a galvanised wire core. The application of a special primer is designed to ensure that the plastic adheres firmly to the wire core. The company offers a ten year guarantee against corrosion.
One example of plastic coating is supplied by the innovative Decoplax fencing with octagonal meshing for gardens and other enclosures.
Cavatorta products are stocked by big European DIY multiples, especially in France, Germany, Benelux, Spain and Scandiniavia.
