Exel, French market leader in the field of sprayers, has now established itself in the water technology market as well.
Within the framework of diversification Villefranche-based Exel acquired Protec, the Italian manufacturer of watering systems, in June 1999, and the company was also able to strengthen its position in this field still further through its takeover of the French pump supplier Agis.
The Apollo knapsack sprayer is new to the Tecnoma programme.
It is now striving towards consolidation of its presence in Europe, one of the company’s most urgent goals for the coming year. The export department is prepared for this: the area representatives for the five regions of Benelux, Germany/Austria/Switzerland, Poland, UK/Scandinavia and Spain/Portugal are the contact persons for the retail trade where the sprayer programme covering the Tecnoma, Perras, Berthoud and Laser Industrie brands are concerned, as well as for the Exel Garden brand in the field of irrigation. In other countries the products are sold through distributors.
New to the programme is the Apollo range. This consists of knapsack pressure sprayers for use in large gardens, which cover the starter segment and are available in 12 litre and 16 litre versions.
The Exel Garden hoses are UV stabilised.
New products in the Exel Garden range include multilayered irrigation hose which comes in five different diameters from 12.5 mm to 25 mm, fits all water installations and can be used for pumps as well.
