Inspired by the bazaar

The Turkish home improvement chain Koçtaş has opened its 35th store in the capital Ankara. In designing the new layout, the DIY store operator was inspired by the Grand Bazaar in Istanbul. The store offers a range of 35 000 products on a retail area of approximately 9 000 m². The British Kingfisher Group has a 50 per cent holding in the joint venture company, partnering the Turkish Koc Holding enterprise. Kingfisher CEO Ian Cheshire, Koçtaş managing director Alp Önder Özpamukçu and Turgay Durak, CEO of Koc, officially opened the store.
