Meeting up of Europe’s sector in Paris

Today sees the start of the 2nd European Home Improvement Forum at Disney’s Newport Bay Club Convention Centre near Paris. “From DIY to home and garden improvement” is the title of the two-day conference. It was preluded yesterday by a tour of stores in the Parisian region, as well as a get-together in the evening. 485 decision-makers from the DIY and garden business sector, both European and international, are participating in the event. One of the highlights will be the presentation of the European DIY-Lifetime Award to Gilles Caille, president of Unibal, a French manufacturers’ association. The laudatory address will be held by Pascal Malfoy, CEO of Leroy Merlin.
