End of bankruptcy proceedings for the Kingfisher subsidiary following one store closure

The continued existence of B&Q in Ireland is assured. This subsidiary of the British Kingfisher Group closed one store down at the beginning of May, but can still continue to operate the other eight Irish outlets. That marks the end of the bankruptcy proceedings that have been going on since 31 January. The reorganisation plan, which the court has now approved, also envisages Kingfisher putting € 2.4 mio of fresh money into its Irish subsidiary.
