New import office in Hong Kong

The German DIY retailer Hornbach has opened up an import transactions office in Hong Kong. In so doing, the company is pursuing its goal of shortening the distances between production locations and optimising procurement logistics in the international goods purchasing chain. According to Hornbach, this new interface to the suppliers will additionally push local quality management. The CEO of Hornbach Asia Ltd is Nikolaus Soukup, a long serving Hornbach employee who has occupied various management positions within the Hornbach organisation over the years including his last position as head of purchasing in Romania.
