Sharing out Baumax

According to media reports, the German cooperation Hagebau has also taken over six of the locations from the DIY store chain Baumax, all of which are in Austria. A total of 70 Baumax stores have been taken over by the German market leader Obi including the majority of stores in Austria – 49 from 65 branches. In the process, 41 properties have been sold to the site developer Supernova who have, in turn, sublet to Obi. In addition, Obi has taken over 14 Baumax stores in Slovakia, five in the Czech Republic and two in Slovenia.
