Fitt's aim to be fully transparent for the consumer was the reason behind the company getting TÜV Süd to test the materials used and the performance of the new hoses, as well as the connections. A 1 000 cycles test, maximum pressure as well as resistance against UV-rays, extreme temperatures and corrosion are just some of the many tests that were carried out in the TÜV laboratories on the hoses, along with the connections and multipurpose sprayers.
At the same time, tests were conducted to analyse the material composition; which proved that Yoyo is also a safe hose for the environment, according to a company statement. Its PVC-free composition without pollutants, phthalates and heavy metals fulfills the requirements of the RoHS Directives and Directive 205/84/EG. Furthermore, the hose is also suitable for contact with foodstuffs, thanks to its composition in accordance with the REACH Regulation for approved materials, which are set out in the Food and Drug Administration list and fulfills the mandatory standards for the protection of Food Contact Quality and Regulation (EU) No. 10/2011.
