Kingfisher aims to remain in Germany with Screwfix

Kingfisher does not apparently intend to pull out of Germany with its Screwfix stores. A report on plans to pull out that was published by DIYinternational.com in October has been refuted by internal information from employees, indicating that, at most, some individual poorly performing outlets could be closed. However, a withdrawal is "definitely" not on the cards. Screwfix currently has 19 stores in Germany.
In its cultivation of the market, the channel will focus on professional customers and consolidate its online offering. The financial year ending on 31 January has gone well for Screwfix Germany, with double-digit sales growth.
