First trade show only for independent home improvement retailers

There is a new trade fair in the USA exclusively for independent retailers in the home improvement field. The first Independent Home Improvement Show Powered by NHS will be staged in Chicago from 13 to 15 August 2019. It will take place in parallel with the Independent Garden Center Show (IGC), the NRHA Stihl Foundations of Leadership Conference and the NRHA 2019 State of Independents Midyear Review of the North American Retail Hardware Association. The new show is being organised by Reed Exhibition, which is also responsible for the National Hardware Show in Las Vegas.Exhibitors at the new fair are expected to present products and pricing programmes that aren't available for big box, chains, e-retailers etc.The Independent Home Improvement Show is dedicated to fostering the relationship between solely independent retailers and leading manufacturers, say the organisers. Big cooperatives and groups such as Ace Hardware, Do It Best and True Value are among the organisations that have already announced they will visit the show.
