Home Depot cut the energy consumption of its stores in the USA by 26 per cent between 2010 and 2018. The carbon dioxide intensity fell by 6 per cent by dollar sold in 2018 due to supply chain efficiencies implemented by the company. This information emerged from the store chain's 2019 Responsibility Report, in which it also set out further science-based targets. The DIY retailer aims to achieve a 40 per cent reduction in its carbon emissions by 2030 and a 50 per cent reduction by 2035.
