The Belgian DIY market leader Brico, subsidiary of the Dutch Maxeda DIY Group, is getting new headquarters in Brussels. The new building will be built on the West Gate business park in Groot-Bijgaarden. The 5 043 m² property will accommodate 264 workplaces, a retail lab and warehouse. The new head office will be a sustainable BEN (nearly energy-neutral) building, it will also be equipped with solar panels, the rainwater will be reused as much as possible and the office spaces will be heated by climate ceilings. This results in savings of EUR 25 000 per year in terms of consumption and maintenance, the company expects. The new head office is expected to be ready for use in 2022.
