Thai home improvement retailer DoHome reported a 37.8 per cent surge in net sales for 2021 as alternative distribution channels supported its operations during lockdown periods. The company posted sales revenues of THB 25.576 bn (Thai baht, EUR 696.162 mio) for the year despite having closed branches in lockdown areas for the whole month of January and again from July to August 2021, it stated.
The group adopted quickly in response to the situation by providing facilities and developing service channels through its e-commerce and direct phone purchase channels via salespersons and sales representatives, DoHome said.
Same store sales grew 25.5 per cent; transactions from one-year-old stores as well as new locations also supported performance, the company added.
DoHome ended the year with 16 large branches and 10 ToGo branches. The company had previously said it had 14 large locations and 16 ToGo branches as of September 2021, indicating that six of the small-format outlets closed while two big stores were added in the interim.
A SET 100 company (Stock Exchange of Thailand), Dohome sells construction materials, office equipment and household products.
