Siam Global House, a Southeast Asian home improvement retailer from Thailand, reported a 24.98 per cent rise in consolidated net sales for 2021, supported by a surge in same-store performance and the addition of four new outlets. Net sales for all Siam Global operations hit THB 33.497 bn (Thai baht, EUR 915.22 mio). The bulk of the sales came from Thailand, which contributed THB 33.01 bn (EUR 904 mio). Siam Global opened in four new locations in the country, bringing the total store count in its home turf to 75 as of end-2021.
In a statement, the company said adjustments in its operations strategy to “be in accordance with economic conditions still affected by Covid-19 and changing customer behaviour in the new normal” also boosted its performance. These include better own label product management, opening various online channels, and store renovations.
Apart from its Thailand operations, Siam Global also has a subsidiary in Cambodia which operates one outlet. It also holds stakes in Pro1 Home Center of Myanmar, Souvanny of Laos and PT Caturkada Depo Bangunan of Indonesia through Global House International, its joint venture with Siam Cement Group.
