The international DIY association Edra/Ghin has new members from Belgium and Japan. The Belgian cooperation ProCoop and the Japanese chain GooDay have joined the European umbrella organisation and its worldwide network.
ProCoop is a cooperation of more than 50 independent retailers across Belgium. Its predecessor organisation was founded in 2013, and it has been active in the DIY sector since 2017, under its current name since 2019. The cooperation manages the three sales brands ProCoop, Bricks & Tools and Interior Partners. It sees itself not only as a purchasing group, but also offers support in the areas of marketing, digitalisation and sales service, among others.
The Japanese chain GooDay, founded in 1978, has 64 locations, most of them (41) in Fukuoka Prefecture in the south of the country. Among other things, the company relies on IT technologies such as big data, cloud and artificial intelligence.
