Australian home improvement chain Bunnings has increased its sales by 5.2 per cent in the 2021/2022 financial year (ending 30 June 2022) compared to the same period last year. Sales volume was AUD 17.754 bn (EUR 12.399 bn). Like-for-like sales increased by 4.8 per cent. The company, which is part of the Australian Wesfarmers Group and operates stores in Australia and New Zealand, reports the online share of turnover at 3.0 per cent; compared to the previous year, this is an increase of 0.7 percentage points.
At the end of June, Bunnings operated 282 warehouse-style stores, 67 smaller stores and 32 trade centres. In addition, eleven Tool Kit Depot locations and 115 outlets in the Beaumont Tiles chain (owned and franchised stores), which will be acquired in November 2021, belonged to the group.
