The Taiwan Hardware Show (THS) is returning to the capital Taipei for its 2023 edition. The trade show will be held at the Taipei Nangang Exhibition Centre from 18 to 20 October 2023. The fair organiser Kaigo has been hosting the THS for 22 years. Originally launched in Taipei, THS had been held in Taichung, the centre of Taiwan's hardware industry, from 2013 to 2020; there was a break forced by the coronavirus in 2021, and the 2022 venue was Kaohsiung in the south of the island nation.
"From the first THS edition, we have observed the innovation sprint of Taiwan’s competitive hardware suppliers from around the country, crossing several industrial counties and manufacturing sites. Gathering the best of Taiwan at the most travel-convenient location for international visitors in central Taipei is the right move to facilitate real business,” says Kaigo CEO Gerd Keim.
For the fair in October 2023, organiser Kaigo expects around 300 exhibitors and about 10 000 visitors. Buyers from abroad will again be eligible for subsidies from the state economic development agency.
This year, the Taiwan Hardware Show introduces T+Safe as a new special segment. It is dedicated to the topic of health and safety at work. This year, the THS will also be held together with International Metal Technology Taiwan (IMT Taiwan).
The Taiwan Hardware Show is supported by various international organisations, including the international DIY association Edra/Ghin , the International Federation of Hardware & Housewares Association (IHA), Japan DIY Home Centre Association as well as the Taiwan Electrical and Electronic Manufacturers' Association.
