Castorama and Brico Dépôt in France become independent

The British Kingfisher Group is restructuring its French business and, according to the annual report, "simplifying" the organisation along the lines of the UK and Ireland. At the end of April, the French holding company under which the Castorama and Brico Dépôt sales divisions currently operate will be dissolved. This should give the two sales divisions more autonomy and faster decision-making channels.

This also has personnel consequences. Alain Rabec, CEO of Kingfisher France, will leave the company at the end of September. Pascal Gil will become Managing Director of Castorama France; he will also remain a member of the Kingfisher Group Executive Team. He has been CEO of Castorama Poland since 2022. Laurent Vittoz will remain at the helm of Brico Dépôt as Managing Director; he will be supported by Alain Rabec, who will also remain a member of the Kingfisher Group Executive Team until his departure.
