Production of the Euro Plant Trays has started

Production of the first Euro Plant Tray (EPT) model started on schedule in August 2024 and the first orders have already been delivered. With around 1.5 million trays ordered, production of the EPT 775 is already well utilised until the end of the year, according to the cooperative. ‘With the 1.5 million EPT trays currently in production, we are already avoiding around 250 t of single-use plastic waste in the first year,’ emphasises Rupert Fey, CEO of EPT eG.

At the same time, preparations are underway for the production of three further models: EPT 777 for 10 to 12 cm pots (400 format) and EPT 768 and EPT 769 for pots from 9 to 13 cm (200 format) are to go into series production at the turn of the year. According to EPT, it is relying on different suppliers. ‘The different models are based on designs from the respective production companies, which were developed together with EPT members…
