The Thai DIY chain HomePro generated 2.81 per cent less turnover from its retail activities including services in the third quarter than in the same period last year. Quarterly sales totalled 15.92978 bn baht (THB, EUR 436.28 mio). According to the company, revenue declined primarily due to an increase in consumer caution in their spending amid economic pressures. Additionally, the impact of above-average rainfall during Thailand's rainy season and ongoing road construction in front of the HomePro Ratchaprueuk store further contributed to a decrease in customer visits during the third quarter, the retailer says. After three new openings in the third quarter, the company operated 92 HomePro stores in Thailand, five stores under HomePro S, 29 Mega Home stores and seven HomePro stores in Malaysia at the end of the quarter.
