CFO Karin Dohm leaves Hornbach prematurely

Hornbach CFO Karin Dohm is leaving the company ahead of schedule. At its meeting on 23 December 2024, the supervisory board of the German DIY chain approved her request to step down as a member of Hornbach's board of management early, by 31 March 2025 at the latest, in order to take up new professional challenges outside the group. Her contract at Hornbach had been extended in February 2023. It would have been valid until 31 December 2028.

Her wish to leave the company had apparently not been anticipated. A press release published by the company on its Investor Relations page on the evening of 23 December 2024 quotes Albrecht Hornbach, CEO of Hornbach Management AG, as saying: “The decision taken by Karin Dohm to stand down from her positions prematurely in order to tackle new professional challenges took us by surprise so shortly before Christmas and the end of the year.”
