German Eurobaustoff loses turnover, but plans for growth

The German speciality trade cooperative Eurobaustoff has recorded a 2.8 per cent decline in centrally invoiced sales to just under EUR 7.5 billion in 2024. Dr Eckard Kern, Chairman of the Management Board, cited this figure in a press conference at the Bau trade fair in Munich yesterday. ‘2024 was a difficult year,’ commented Dr Kern on the course of business. ‘But we actually came through quite well.’

In the retail sector, the decline was 0.9 per cent, which was ‘actually okay’ given the general situation in the industry. At Eurobaustoff, the building construction segment was hit hardest by the difficult economic situation in the construction industry. Here, central sales fell by almost 10 per cent compared to the previous year. In contrast, the roof and façade segment recorded an increase of 3.6 per cent.
